Free Interior Design Technician Course in Tuscany: LIVING SPACES HUB

The Tuscany Region, as part of the PR FSE+ Toscana 2021-2027 and the Giovanisì project, promotes a free training course for “Technician for the Creation of Graphic Designs Using IT Tools and CAD Programs for Interior Space Design (Interior Designer)”.

This initiative, co-financed by the European Union, is organized by SCUOLA EDILE C.P.T. SIENA in partnership with Centro Sperimentale Del Mobile e dell’Arredamento S.R.L., Voltolini Restauri S.R.L., and Habitat Arredamenti By Roncucci S.R.L..

Objectives and Competencies

The course aims to train interior designers capable of creating innovative, sustainable, and “smart” spaces through the use of digital technologies. At the end of the course, participants will be able to perform metric surveys, prepare two-dimensional and three-dimensional graphic tables with CAD and rendering, and apply enabling technologies (AR, VR, AI) in design.

Course Structure

The course will take place at the CSM – Centro Sperimentale del Mobile in Poggibonsi (SI), from September 2025 to February 2026. It will have a total duration of 600 hours, structured to ensure comprehensive and functional learning:

  • 390 hours of classroom lessons;
  • 30 hours of orientation;
  • 180 hours of internship in sector companies.

Mandatory attendance is 70%.

Access Requirements

The course is aimed at unemployed and inactive individuals, with particular attention to young people and long-term unemployed. Minimum access requirements include: EQF Level 3 professional qualification, second-grade high school diploma, or at least 3 years of documented work experience in the sector. For foreign citizens, a B1 level of the CEFR is required.

Final Certification

At the end of the course, a final examination is foreseen for the release of the qualification “Technician for the Creation of Graphic Designs Using IT Tools and CAD Programs”.

Admission to the examination is subject to mandatory minimum attendance and passing intermediate assessments.

Applications, prepared according to the unified model of the Tuscany Region, must be submitted to CENTRO SPERIMENTALE DEL MOBILE by July 31, 2025 (extended deadline). Submission methods include email (laura@csm.toscana.it), postal mail, or hand delivery at the indicated office.
