As part of the Giovanisì project, co-financed by the European Union, the Region of Tuscany is offering a free training opportunity aimed at training expert technicians in the camper van sector thanks to the TEC course, “Expert Technician in Circular Economy in the Camper Van Sector”.
TEC is a Higher Technical Training (I.F.T.S.) course that is completely free of charge because it is funded by resources made available by the regional ESF+ 2021-2027 Program.
Course objectives and focus
The course is designed to train professionals to tackle the challenge of the circular economy applied to business models and production processes, with a specific specialization in the camper sector.
The main objective is to introduce participants to the macro-theme of the Circular Economy, analysing analysis and business models, and investigating its role in the development of new circular products and services. Particular attention is paid to the sustainability of the supply chain and more effective end-of-waste management.
Structure and content of the training course
The course has a total duration of 990 hours and is scheduled to start in January 2026.
The course includes theoretical lessons, laboratory exercises, support, and a 396-hour internship.

- Introduction to the Circular Economy and Future Trends (30 hours)
- New Product Development (40 hours)
- Raw Materials for Sustainable Product Design (40 hours)
- Production Processes and Controls in the Motorhome Sector (40 hours)
- Business logistics (40 hours)
- Green marketing (40 hours)
- Environmental regulations (30 hours)
- Internship (396 hours)
The course will be held in Colle di Val d’Elsa (SI), at the Pitagora Training Center, Via Bilenchi 12, with a daily commitment of approximately 4-8 hours.
Course participants and selection process
The course has 20 places available and is aimed at unemployed, unoccupied, or employed people who meet one of the following requirements:
- Professional technical diploma.
- Upper secondary school diploma.
- Certification of skills acquired in previous education, training, and work experience.
Foreign citizens are required to have a basic knowledge of Italian (minimum level B1).
Selection
If the number of applications exceeds the number of places available, a selection process will be carried out, consisting of:
- A multiple-choice written test (English language: 30% of the score; general knowledge: 70% of the score).
- A subsequent motivational interview.
The final score is determined 50% by the results of the written tests and 50% by the interview. The first 20 eligible people on the ranking list will be admitted. A reserve of 40% of places is set aside for eligible women.
The selection date is scheduled for January 8, 2026.

The project is managed by the Centro Sperimentale del Mobile (CSM), leader of the ATS, which includes partners such as the University of Siena and the Tito Sarrocchi Technical Industrial Institute.
