Erasmus*+ Intercultural Craft: a model of European excellence for inclusion and craftsmanship

Progetto Erasmus+ Intercraft

The Intercultural Craft (INTERCRAFT) project has officially come to an end, marking an extraordinary achievement for the consortium and for the vocational training sector. The Erasmus+ INAPP National Agency awarded the project the maximum score of 100/100, officially selecting it as a “Good Practice” at European level.

Recognition of merit and social impact

The success of INTERCRAFT lies not only in the achievement of its formal objectives, but also in its ability to generate a real and tangible impact. Being recognised as Good Practice by INAPP means that the project has demonstrated above-average effectiveness, with transferable and sustainable results that can serve as a model for future European initiatives.

The pillars of the project

The Intercultural Craft project has developed around three fundamental axes that have successfully combined tradition and modernity:

  • Mapping and Intercultural Curriculum: a detailed analysis of craft skills in Europe was carried out, culminating in a modular training curriculum. This tool has been tested in the field, offering personalised pathways for the socio-professional integration of migrants and refugees;
  • Innovation Hub: the interactive digital platform developed during the project has become a reference point for networking and continuous training, exceeding initial expectations in terms of accessibility and stakeholder participation;
  • Operational Resilience: despite the global challenges encountered during the project lifecycle, the partnership was able to adapt each activity, transforming logistical limitations into opportunities for process optimisation.

An international collaboration

This result is the fruit of international cooperation involving partners from Italy, Slovenia, Spain and Greece. Intercraft has demonstrated that the revival of traditional craftsmanship, when supported by an innovative approach, is one of the most powerful keys to promoting social and labour inclusion in multicultural contexts.

Conclusions and Prospects

The INTERCRAFT experience leaves behind concrete tools and a consolidated network of professionals to promote social and labour inclusion in multicultural contexts.
