On September 10, the Board of Directors and the Steering Body of the new Fondazione Centro Sperimentale Toscana Innovazione were formally established, founded by the four historic Founding Members Confindustria Toscana Sud, CNA Siena, Confartigianato Senese and Confapi Siena.
During the first two sessions of the governing bodies, the admission of three new public Founding Members was approved: the University of Siena, the University of Florence, and the Municipality of Colle Val d’Elsa.
With these first acts, the Foundation officially begins its activity, a path that started a few months ago with CSM’s transformation from a consortium company into a participatory Foundation. This new structure gives CSM Toscana a stable and permanent legal identity and a multi-stakeholder governance model, while also strengthening its institutional credibility in its relationships with public administrations, ministries and European institutions.
The Fondazione Centro Sperimentale Toscana Innovazione positions itself as Tuscany’s hub for applied innovation, a regional platform connecting businesses, research, institutions and expertise to support the competitive transformation of the region, integrating innovation, technology transfer, subsidized finance and training into a single operational model.
For over 40 years, CSM Toscana has engaged with Tuscany’s business community, building strong partnerships with companies and a well-established relationship with regional Research Bodies and the Tuscany Region. CSM is also the managing body of the dID – Interior and Design Technology District, recognized by the Tuscany Region and representing an ecosystem of over 900 Tuscan businesses, as well as a training agency accredited by the Tuscany Region and ISO9001 certified, supporting the development of technical and managerial skills in business innovation processes.
