Innovation scenarios and co-design workshop on the IMMERSIVE STORYTELLING DESIGNER profile

Towards a new professional profile: the Immersive Storytelling Designer

On 25 June, from 2pm to 6pm, the Design Campus in Calenzano will host a workshop dedicated to an emerging professional figure at the heart of the Erasmus+ INSIDE-ACT project: the Immersive Storytelling Designer, a profile serving innovation and the communication of corporate values through immersive and artistic languages.

The event is structured in two parts.

Part 1 – Room 10, Design Campus Calenzano

The afternoon opens with two scenario-setting talks designed to frame the context in which this new professional figure operates.

Fondazione Ermanno Casoli will share its experience in fostering dialogue between contemporary art and business organisations. The Foundation’s work is grounded in the belief that art, as an activator of thought, helps break traditional paradigms of common knowledge, opening up unexpected possibilities and triggering original innovation processes that stimulate creativity and strengthen teamwork.

Next, Stefano Fake, founder of The Fake Factory, will take the stage. Based in Florence and founded in 2001, this award-winning studio specialises in video art, immersive art, video mapping and video design. Today, The Fake Factory is a global network of 500 new-media artists, architects, designers, engineers and philosophers — a striking example of how the hybridisation of artistic and technological skills can produce internationally recognised excellence.

Part 2 – Room 11, Co-Design Workshop

The following two hours will be dedicated to a co-design workshop on the multidisciplinary skills of the Immersive Storytelling Designer. Participants — selected from manufacturing, social, communication and technology enterprises, as well as videomakers, cultural associations, theatre performers, artists and designers — will work in multidisciplinary groups to explore the aspects of the ISD profile most relevant to their daily activities.

The day will close with a networking aperitivo accompanied by the screening of The Game, a film by Danilo Correale, produced for the 14th edition of the Premio Ermanno Casoli (2014), curated by Marcello Smarrelli. The film tells the story of three companies from the Valdelsa area that took part in an artistic performance a few years ago.

The initiative is part of the activities of the Erasmus+ INSIDE-ACT project, co-funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ Programme – Alliances for Innovation.
