A free course is starting soon to certify skills in “Incoming Material Control” (UC 64) and “Inventory Management and Forecast-Based Purchasing” (UC 66). This is an unmissable opportunity for those seeking employment opportunities in the logistics and supply sector.

This training program is funded by the European Union through the NextGenerationEU program and the GOL (Garanzia Occupabilità Lavoratori – Workers’ Employability Guarantee) project. It’s part of the GiovaniSì initiative by the Tuscany Region, which aims to promote youth autonomy and re-employment.

What You’ll Learn 

This EQF Level 3 course will provide key skills to effectively operate in supply chain and goods management.

The program includes:

  • Quality and Safety in Warehouse Management (32 hours)
  • Procurement Management and Control (36 hours)
  • Inventory Management and Data Analysis (56 hours)
  • Digital Skills (DigComp) (22 hours)
  • Company Internship (96 hours)

The training activity is designed to teach participants the knowledge and skills necessary to control delivery deadlines and the conformity and quality of incoming goods, including accompanying documentation.

Who can apply?

Applications are open to:

  • Unemployed individuals, including recipients of NASPI or DIS-COLL benefits.
  • Recipients of “Reddito di Cittadinanza” (Citizenship Income).
  • Fragile or vulnerable workers, such as NEET young people (under 30), disadvantaged women, people with disabilities, and mature workers (55 and over).
  • Workers with very low incomes (so-called working poor).
  • Beneficiaries of social security benefits while in an employment relationship.

To access the course, applicants must be at least 16 years old with a fulfilled compulsory education (three-year leFP qualification) or 18 years old. For foreign citizens, A2 QCER level Italian language proficiency is required.

Course Structure and Opportunities

The training program includes 146 hours of classroom lessons and 96 hours of internship in companies within the sector, for a total of 242 hours. Lessons will take place in Poggibonsi (SI), loc. Salceto n° 55, from Monday to Friday, with a maximum of 8 hours per day.

Attendance is mandatory for 70% of the total hours, with at least 50% of the internship hours. At the end, a final exam is scheduled, consisting of a written test, a technical-practical test, and an individual interview.

Skills Certification and Allowance

Upon successful completion of the exam, a Certificate of Competence for UC 64 and UC 66 will be issued. In addition, a declaration of learning for the DigComp unit will be provided.

For unemployed individuals over 55 years old (at the time of enrollment), an attendance allowance of €3.50 euro/hour (calculated on classroom and synchronous distance learning hours) is provided, up to a maximum of €250.

How to Enroll in the Course

To access this professional retraining (reskilling) opportunity:

  1. Phase 1: Access the GOL program. Enroll in the GOL program exclusively at the Employment Centers of Tuscany, which will direct you towards upskilling or reskilling.
  2. Phase 2: Course Enrollment. Once directed, you can enroll in the desired course at an Employment Center or a Temp Agency.
