Assoservizi S.r.l., in partnership with Eurobic Toscana Sud S.r.l., CPIA 1 Siena – Poggibonsi, Scuola Edile – CPT Siena, CSM – Toscana, and Formimpresa, is organizing a training course for the certification of competencies in “Machine Start-up Assistance (UC 1441)” and “Execution of Preventive Maintenance Interventions (UC 1442).” This program, approved by the Tuscany Region with D.D. n. 1769 on 31/01/2023, is part of the “GOL Training Offer Catalog” and aims to re-skill professionals in the mechanical, energy, transport, wood, and construction sectors in the Siena area.
Course Details and Training Content
The course issues a Level EQF 3 competency certificate, focusing on two Units of Competence (UC): “Machine Start-up Assistance (UC 1441)” and “Execution of Preventive Maintenance Interventions (UC 1442).” The program includes training units dedicated to technical-professional skills and a training unit on digital skills based on the DigiComp 2.1 framework.
The planned training units are:
- Work Processes and Safety Behaviors (36 hours)
- Machine Start-up Assistance (52 hours)
- Execution of Preventive Maintenance Interventions (36 hours)
- DigComp (22 hours)
- Internship (96 hours)
Structure and Attendance
The training program involves a total of 146 hours of classroom instruction and 96 hours of internship at companies in the sector. Lessons will be held from Monday to Friday, with a maximum of 8 hours per day, between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM. For admission to the final exam, a mandatory attendance rate of 70% of the total hours is required, including at least 50% of the internship hours.
Acquired Competencies and Career Opportunities
The training activity is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary for the maintenance of production machinery, including operational assistance and fault prevention. Possible career opportunities include employment in mechanical companies, assisting production operators and managing machine maintenance and start-up assistance, even for external clients.
Target Audience and Access Requirements
The course is intended for 8 to 11 students. The beneficiaries of the training program include various categories, such as:
- Recipients of social safety nets (in an ongoing employment relationship or unemployed recipients of NASPI or DIS-COLL)
- Recipients of “Reddito di cittadinanza” (Citizen’s Income)
- Fragile or vulnerable workers (young NEETs under 30, women in disadvantaged conditions, people with disabilities, mature workers aged 55 and over)
- Unemployed individuals without income support (for at least six months; young people and women not necessarily in fragile conditions; self-employed workers with ceased activity or very low incomes)
- Workers with very low incomes (working poor)
The minimum access requirements include being at least 16 years old with compulsory education and training fulfilled (three-year leFP qualification) or being at least 18 years old. For foreign citizens, knowledge of the Italian language at A2 level of the CEFR is required.
Credit Recognition and Attendance Allowance
It is possible to request credit recognition upon entry, following the procedures set out in DGR 251/2023. The request must be submitted before or in the initial phase of the course.
For unemployed individuals over 55 years old, an attendance allowance of €3.50 per hour (calculated on classroom and synchronous FAD hours) is provided, disbursed at the end of the project and only for the first course attended, up to a maximum of €250. Recipients of “Reddito di cittadinanza” and social safety nets are excluded from this allowance.
Final Certification
At the end of the activities, a Certificate of Competence for UC 1441 and UC 1442 will be issued. For those who do not pass the exam or interrupt the program, a declaration of learning will be issued pursuant to Dgr 251/2023. A declaration of learning for the DigComp UF is also provided.
Enrolment
The enrolment process is divided into two phases:
- Access to the GOL Program: interested parties must enrol in the GOL program exclusively at the Employment Centres of Tuscany. Here, based on guidance, beneficiaries will be directed towards Measures 2 Upskilling or 3 Reskilling.
- Course Enrolment: once directed, beneficiaries can enrol in the course at an Employment Centre or a Job Agency.
The course is funded by PNRR funds through the GOL program. The implementing body is ASSOSERVIZI S.r.l. and lessons will be held in Siena, at Via C. Pisacane n° 5 and Via dei Rossi n° 2. Intermediate verification tests and a final exam consisting of a written test, a technical-practical test, and an individual interview are planned.
