INTERCULTURAL CRAFT

INTERCRAFT

INTERCRAFT is an Erasmus+ KA2 – Cooperation Partnerships project that aims to promote the social inclusion of people from a migrant background into the local social fabric of the area in which they live.

Through cultural and professional exchanges between young migrants, social workers and local artisans, INTERCRAFT aims to create a new model of shared value among the target groups identified by the project.

The project includes activities that respond to the needs of migrants and third-country nationals who wish to enhance and improve the professional skills they have acquired in their countries of origin, using innovative educational methods to put them in touch with local professions and help them find a job.

Achievements

The project has already achieved significant results, including:

The ATLAS MAP: the result of in-depth analysis, it has identified 24 social organisations in Greece, Italy, Slovenia and other EU countries engaged in sustainable intercultural craft practices. This resource is essential for promoting inclusion and employment, highlighting entities that value the diverse backgrounds and skills of participants.

The Joint Curriculum and Methodological Handbook: a true milestone of the project, defining an innovative training course in eight modules.
The curriculum is designed to improve the professional skills of migrants, linking them to local professions. The modules range from empathy and interculturalism to traditional crafts, from sustainable design to entrepreneurship.

The Digital Tool: designed by the University of Florence, this multifunctional tool is now fully operational. The platform is set to revolutionise the sharing and learning of intercultural crafts, ensuring complete and immediate access to all its resources.
